walkingWalking is the cheapest and probably the most enjoyable way of getting regular exercise, but what puts most people off is the thought of walking alone. Well there is an easy solution to the problem - Join a walking group!

Walking groups are organised, with experienced leaders, and in some cases qualified first aiders. Such groups send out regular walk programmes to their members and also organise social events such as BBQs and Christmas dinners. Groups usually charge an annual fee to cover the costs of printing programmes postage etc. So where are these groups and when and where do they walk? I?ve set out below details of local walking groups and their contacts:

The Walk for Health Campaign walks twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays.
